RE: Forsyth Monthly Buffalo Match
Trapper, You will need 36 for the shoot and about 50 for sight settings. I should be there abou t 11 to get thing set up, shoot starts at 1. New shooters are allways welcome.

RE: Forsyth Monthly Buffalo Match
Is this shoot the same location as the Quigley shoot? I have a mid range sight is it tall enough to hit 1000 yards? I sure hope so, I'll go do some figuring before I head for Forsyth.
Thanks,
Trapper

RE: Forsyth Monthly Buffalo Match
Well I guess I will have to stay home cause my sight probably isn't tall enough. What a bummer been looking forward to going all week. I was up until midnight last night reloading got 80 rounds ready to go. Guess I will have to look into getting another sight.
Thanks guys,
Trapper

RE: Forsyth Monthly Buffalo Match
Well I was bummed out so I went out and messed with my horses for a while this morning. Then I unloaded my vehicle and straightened up my reloading room. I left it in a mess last night. Wish I would have looked on here a couple hours ago. It is getting to long in the day now to make the shoot today. I think I am going to order me up one of them MVA XLR sights from Shiloh. That way there won't be any reason I can't make the distance. I have 80 rounds loaded and ready to go, so now I have to find another shoot someplace. Next time I won;t dought myself and just go. Think I will load up my 1911's and go shoot something.
Thanks guys,
Trapper

RE: Forsyth Monthly Buffalo Match
Trapper, unless your going to shoot a mile or more. You will never need the XLR.
I use a 'Long Range Buffalo Soule' and have shot past 1K yds with plenty elavation left over on either my .45-70 and .45-90..
How far are you from Forsyth?
