Forsyth Monthly Buffalo Match

RE: Forsyth Monthly Buffalo Match
Trap I'm sure sorry you didn't go. I'ld almost bet dollars to donuts you could of made the 1k especially if you can set your sight to 1.95 , likely would of taken all of the elevation on the sight, but it would of made. Worst case you may have had to held over a bit.
IF you do decide to get another sight just a plain long range sight will do, altho I'ld recommend going with the buffalo long range because sometimes you need every drop of windage available, but the xlr isn't necessary unless you get into shooting to a mile.

Thanks guys,
Trapper

The guy I shoot with uses a midrange sight on his hiwall and has no problem shooting 1000 yrds. You will never need the xlr sight.

All you'll have is an a$$ load of sight staff sticking up all over the place and in the way!!!!!!!!!

I live 120 miles away and the guy that traveled with me lives 150 miles.
Go to the shoot, you won't regret it.

RE: Forsyth Monthly Buffalo Match
trapper sorry you missed our longrange shoot, it was a good day. Next sunday weather permitting we will be haveing our monthly buffalo shoot, targets from 300 to 650 yards at 1pm. the range is just before you get to the quiggley range, cant miss it. Takes 40 shots for the
match plus any sighters before the shoot.
the scores for the longrange match will be posted on quiggleymatch.com as soon as i can get them to Buzz. The scores were lower due to the wind. we got the 1200yd buffalo up and shot it after the regular match, Elwin got 8/10 shooting blackpower, and i got 7/10 shooting blackhorn, the next highest i think was 5, Shadow 4 got 3/10 with a 38-55 very good with the wind.
