put the scope on little Missy

Well I mounted the MVA Win B-5 scope on Little Missy with the Mill dot removed from the center getting ready for Alma next weekend and took it to the range to get it at least on paper at 200 yards so I don't have to send a bunch of lead down range just finding the plate with windage settings.

I bore sited it and put two rounds down range, the two at 10 o-clock I thought Hmmmm not a bad start shot 3 more at 6 went down range and marked off the holes and shot 4 more that went in the same group dropped the sights and hit center that's 6 shots at 12.
This rifle is shooting the .393" X 1.420" long bullet really well with my 1/18 L/T/antimony alloy.

The wind was up pretty good with the tree tops swaying and leaning pretty well guessing at 15 mph plus but steady.

That set up looks like it wants to shoot. That reticle is likely what you have been needing all along. Shoot straight, rdnck.

Those B5's are great for silhouette and midrange.

Bill the reticle is almost to fine. It shows up fine on the orange dot or light back ground but in the shadows it gets a little dime for my eyes but it's a lot better then the mill dot for covering a small mark. I will find out next weekend how it will work for me on the iron critters that might be in the shadows at times.


Don I like the low powered scope. It is clear and sharp and good parallax adjustment. The scope is light and the total weight of this rifle with the scope is only 11#1 oz.
Now to get used to shooting with a scope or get the stars removed from the eyes so I can see clear again

The load is decent with good vertical so the rest is up to me to break the trigger with a good stock weld.

Kurt, “stock weld”. My chin sits on top of the comb for 1000 yards and I’m wondering if a cheek pad will address the issue of horizontal stringing. Had one of those days yesterday where one shot was just to the left, next to right, etc at 1000. That front aperture sure jumps around a lot in those gusty Forsyth breezes. But I did manage to put 7 on the diamond at 900. That felt good!

Diamonds for are a problem with a slight change in the winds. There should be a law against them
