The "News"
Woohoo, went to the mailbox today and what did I find?

Yet another fantastic issue of the "News". Huh Its arrival was earlier than expected, but as always well worth the cost and the wait.

Got mine today - just in time to read the article "How I Load a 45-90" before I load for my 45-100 and have another go at the Postal Match on Shiloh Forum.

I'm still waiting. Went to town to check the mail today and nothing. Called Wolfe and spoke to a young lady who told me they only print the magazine a certain number of copies at a time. Maybe mine will be sent out in the next batch. She said I should have it by Christmas.
Does this sound like a terrible business model ? AngryHuh

Does sound a bit weird, one would think they would make all the subscriber copies and mail them.

In the 40+ years I worked in the printing trade[magazine and catalog] the only time we did partial runs was when the print counts were in the millions.I doubt their print counts are that high!

Mike I wonder if Rifle or Handloader is on about the same publication dates as the news? Maybe that could account for the intervals in printing?
I don't know much about any of it, but it does seem that if people get all twisted up and drop subscriptions, the more likely it becomes the "we" loose any print publication dealing with our particular interest.. And as it's about 3 months between printings, it's not like we don't have time to read this issue before the next one comes,, unless somehow they really screw up and this edition and the next arrive at the same time...

Don, It's amazing to me that the print and binding quality [perfect binding] went up and customer service went down when Wolff took over! I don't know what their total print count is,but it can't be large enough to justify a mid run pull.Press time is very expensive.I do know that my subscription lapsed 2 issues back and I never got a renewal notice!
