DZ Hepburn in 22 LR

Do any of you guys have one of Dan's Hepburns in 22 rimfire. I really want one bad! do you like it? Any pro's or con's?

I've seen a couple of them, and if a person wants a 22 hepburn that would sure be the way to go.

Have you had a chance to shoot this one yet?

I have a friend that is a Remington collector and he ordered one several years ago just to have one to shoot. It's a fine looking rifle and I shot a few rounds through it and it did fine at 100 mtrs. But for some reason he has a problem getting what he wants for accuracy from it.
I been wanting one in the .22 caliber but been putting it off because they quit shooting small bore silhouette here. I think they are a fine shooter and look good.

It is a amazing how picky 22 rifles can be about ammo

Your right.
I have a few and only one will just about digest any of the standard velocity .22 ammo.
High end $25. + or bulk.
Never could figure that out.

It is funny about those things. Carols lowall absolutely hates anything SK or Lapua. Gets along great with Norma and Eley. Fortunately both our rifles like the Eley Target, so that makes things simpler.

The only .22 ammo that does not shoot well is the HV, still executable at 130 yards but not as good as the subsonic with the CPA Douglas barrel.
The Winchester lowball won't do this.

I have got to shoot it out to 200yds. I was using Wolf extra and was having issues. Naturally I switched up and tried an assortment of match ammo I have accumulated over the years. Guess what, It just loves the Lupua Midas. I shot a silhouette match Saturday and lit it up. The only issue is it's tough to extract the empties with a scope. Fantastic rifle. My CPA is pretty cool to but today the Hepburn is top. Bob
