Please allow me to introduce myself...
Howdy, I'm George. I'm a friend of Don, who recommended this place to me. I'm a family guy with three litle kids, a boat building addiction and I shoot way too much according to some sources. I'm a deputy sheriff, firearms instructor and a bunch of other stuff that's really not all that intersting to most folks.
In keeping with this forum's name of historic stuff, I don't have too much other than a half dozen smoke poles, a few old military rifles and a H&R in 45-120. All my other firearms are modern stuff, but one of these days I'll get me a proper BPCR stick. In the meantime I can hang out, visit and dream

Wonder how long you'll be able to resist temptation George-------------i fell off in this stuff about 2 years ago after having the "want to" for a good long while
I can honestly say its the most challenging shooting sport i have ever got hooked on--------------with early help from Don and paying attention to some of the other shooters here it got to be real fun real quick

Howdy George, pleased to meet you and welcome to the madness.

RE: Please allow me to introduce myself...
Thanks for the welcomes gents.
As to how long I can resist, it's more a matter of how long until I can afford Since I won't be selling off any of my current inventory to add a BPCR I'll just have to wait until I have a few bucks extra. As soon as I can finish a few important projects I'll spruce up my farm truck and sell it off to buy me a proper shootin stick.

Me?? Well....I'm a CROSS DRESSER I guess! Go here:
http://historicshooting.com/mybb/thread-74.html
Any friend of Don's is a friend of mine! Other than smelling akin to those cattle he hustles....he's A-OK! But that 'smell' these days has turned into $$$$ and rightly so because the cattleman in the past has taken a beating for a long time so I'm happy to see these guys getting a return on their investments! This site is OK! I haven't been run off yet! I'm noted for speaking my mind aka NOT being politically correct in other words so whatever you ask me...I can assure you the answer you get may not be what you want to hear but it'll be based upon my experience!
Welcome to the forum!!

Thanks for the welcome Rick, that's a nice looking rifle in your link. I'm building a 6.5x284 (most likely) this spring myself so it's good to see they welcome cross dressers here! As to speaking your mind, that's how I prefer it and that's how I am myself!!
