NRA bptr rule book says that 500 yds
xring- 5in.
10 ring -10in
9 ring-15 in.
8 ring-20 in
7 ring -25 in.
6 ring -30 inches
So the aiming black would be 30 inches

If you desire an aiming black to approximate the same size as the Creedmoor bull at 1000 yds......use 4.4" per each 100 yards of distance! At 500 yds. the aiming black should be 22".

Not sure I could even see a 22" plate @ 500yds anymore..........
