RE: 4 Foot Shoot-N-See Target

little effort and an offer to a local farmer or rancher that an arrangement could be made whereby an offer of 'free labor' for a shooting spot could be worked out! I did it 50 years ago when my 'Uncle Sam' had a hold on me!!

That didn't work with my Neighbor. He said I don't want anyone shooting over my land or on it.

Yep! The world is full of AH! They're all worried about liability problems and with what I've observed over many years....rightfully so!!

RE: 4 Foot Shoot-N-See Target
Rick, If I had a range on my land I would do what you did.
Do you have any issues with the plates 'curling' from bullet strikes?
How thick of plate? What alloy(if known)?
THX,
Gary

my 1/4 inch plate curls at 200 yards, my 1/2 inch plate at 300 yards is the ticket, just splatter marks on it.
my .243 will shoot through the 1/4 at 200 but only makes a small indention[about 1/16 inch] on the 1/2 inch plate at 300 yards
mine are just plane ole cold roll steel, nothing special except they were free
