I wipe between shots and have found that if I follow the wiping with a dry patch then I'll get leading within 5 or 6 shots. Enough to create a flyer that is really obvious. If I do not use a dry patch then the problem goes away. The smaller calibers really seem to be sensitive to bore condition. Way more than my .45's.
I have one rifle that likes me to dry the bore when breech seating but that one uses paper patched bullets. :-)

RE: New bullet, new prob ...
Hi Chris
I do clean between shots, 2 damp Ballistol and water and 2 dry. Will try loading on a wet barrel.
Cheers

Don,
What does riceing patches mean? Some way of squeezing out the extra moisture?
Thanks,
Chris.

RE: New bullet, new prob ...
Hi Guys
Last Saturday i tried a couple of combinations. I damp Ballistol asnd one dry, leading after the 6 th shot. The tried 2 damp patches , hust dried the chamber (to avoid case seperation) After 10 shots ran some wipeaway through the barrel, no lead.
I'm not sure whether I can get the antifreeze or the NAPA water soluble cutting oil here in Australia.

Hi Don
Checked out the anti-freeze available here. All that is available is a product that is anti-freeze, anti-boil and anti coorsion. As we don't get very low temperatures here I presume that there isn't a market for straight anti-freeze.
