How much powder were you able to drop into that 2.4 case?

That case is a .45-90 cut down .45-120 case and it holds 80 gr of 2F KIK drop tubed 20" and it is .268" below the case mouth in the untrimmed .45-90 case. I sent you a Norma and Starline case in the box and I cant size down another one till I get the proper die blank back and ream it out. The Starline case might hold maybe 2 gr more???
I was hoping that it would hold 70 to 80 gr depending on the wad stack used and it looks like that is what I can get.

When that box of goodies gets here I can size down some brand new Starlines, and I can also shorten up some Jamison 2 7/8 and some Norma basic. I also have a batch of BACO stretched rp 45-70 brass.
Think I'll start with the same wad stack I use in the 2 1/4 bn., so getting 80 grs + of OE 2f and the BACO 434470 bullet shouldn't be a big proplem.

Couldn't help myself, took one of those 45-90 cases ran it into the 43 Egyptian die, and for now it looks like 85 grs of 2f OE will be just right to squish about 1/4 in and make room for the wad stack and seat the BACO bullet..
Awe man this is going to be a terrible wait.. Almost as bad as ordering a Shiloh...

Going to guess if it all works as planned , should get about 1350 out of that bullet, and that should be enough in this 16 1/2 twist , that bullet will laugh at the winds in Raton.

Bob the wait on the Shiloh is never good, whether it's brand new or a rebarrel.
But this project that will end up with a rebarrel on the C Sharps is turning out to be just as many long anxious moments.

Dean I am planning on having Eron Ahmer do the work. Already have the barrel, so it's just a matter of getting the gun and reamer to Eron.
Probably will do that when I go shoot his Rocky Mtn regional match.
Then that will give me plenty of time to learn from Kurt what's working and what isn't with this cartridge.

Well Bob I think you can see that I favor the .44"s Always have.

Waiting for a Shiloh is rough! did it 6 times one wait was just about three years. I would have had this new rifle made by Shiloh but I'm getting to be a short timer in this world so I placed an order with CPA for this one and I don't want to pull a barrel off any of my Shiloh's. They all shoot to good to do this.
