Hi gents, i would like to use my first thread to introduce myselfe.
My Name is Klaus i`m from Germany and live near Cologne.Enjoy the Black Stuff since around 20 Years and look with some envy across the big pond since I read in several U.S. Forums.
Back to Topic: have bought my Pedersoli Roller for 10 Years ago, did his work reliable all time long but as a Gun out of Stock it`is an ugly gun and was not what i like to see.
I found some old pictures of original Sporting Rollers No.1 and take a decision for a rework . Barrel and Actionbox are sanded and browned with Danglers in different coats. Polished and oiled finaly with WD 40 and Ballistol.
Forearm reworked and poured in a pewter Nosecup.
Barrel Sights: MVA Rought and Ready sight reinstalled .
Frontsight rebuild from a Basic Winchester front, cut at Base and sawed in a slot. A piece of Brass revised to a "Penny look"

Last Saturday i went to the range to sighting in my new Penny

Second Target is an older one with no Penny but a
Globe Front sight with Pinhead Insert
Same like above but KIK FG with 65 grs .
it seems to me that FG Powder are given more accurate by less speed. Whether the Frontsights difference are crucial for target results i dont know because due to the lack of practise with the Penny Sight a lot more of accuracy could be expected.
your opinion is much appreciated
Klaus
