RE: Wiping technique
Bill, my jury is still out on the MPro-7 on wiping patches. Napa 6:1 works well with arsenal patches, but the "7" is still to be 'cifered. May try cotton patches, LOL

RE: Wiping technique
I use a brass jag on the delron rod. I turned it down, after a couple of over-sized tries Angry, then got it the right size to drop the patch off at the mzl.

RE: Wiping technique
I bought a delrin rod from AZ S.S. for my 40-70SS, it's marked .40 cal. 10mm, it has a hole in the end I have not been able to screw anything in the hole, no jag no brush. It is so fat I can't even put 2" Pro Shot patch on it and push it through. Is the 10mm the right size for .40 cal ? a disappointing piece of equipment for me.

RE: Wiping technique
Hi Randy,

The first set of rods I bought from Steve were just like yours. After talking to him he told me he only drills and taps them if the customer requests it.

Fortunately Delrin is really easy to work with, even for a non-machinist type like me. I bought a numbered bit and drilled and tapped it myself. For tapping you just have to go slowly, and back the tap up a bit now and then.

Chris.
