Wyoming Sight Drifter

They are handy tools to keep around, they even work great for sliding the plate on a 74 breechblock to change the firing pin.
I have 4 of them now, bought 3 and won one last week.

Don I'm looking for one like the tool for the 1911 Brownell sells but with a thousands scale or a dial indicator so I know how much I'm moving it so I don't drive it one way and again back the other

Kurt, I reviewed the Wyoming sight Drifter in the last TASS. It works well and you can control the amount of sight drift by how far back you pull the spring. Much more control than with a punch and hammer.

I've used mine on three different rifles. It's a welcome addition to my tools.

How well does it work on really tight dovetails? Shiloh seems to really make their front sights fit tightly. I recently removed a blade front sight from a rifle I bought from Mr. Goodman and it took a lot of force to get it out.

I'm biased you might guess but at this point I've not found a dovetail sight that I couldn't move. The tool does have limitations to be sure but it's surprising at what you can get done with it. I've moved sights on Shiloh Sharps, to sights on a little Colt Pocketlite and while it's not recommended even on a Glock. It has refused nothing I've tried it on. It's warrantied, satisfaction guaranteed!

I love mine. It is so handy to easily adjust that front sight on the range to get your zero.
I used it on an old rusty Mosin that I hadn't been able to move prior to getting the sight drifter. Worked like a charm!
